End-Grain and Bacteria!

We wanted to highlight one of the most interesting features of end-grain cutting boards. Studies have proven that hardwood end-grain cutting boards are poor hosts for bacteria.  

The best part about hardwood end-grain boards is the fact that a new board performs just as good as a well used one. This is not the case with synthetic cutting boards which need to be replaced after heavy use.
